Tower Grove Park hosts first-ever Astronomy Festival

Take a trip to the stars and beyond at Tower Grove's Astronomy Festival!

Several members of the McDonnell Center for the Space Sciences at Washington University are participating in the Astronomy Festival on September 10.

Members from the Department of Physics will help you make your own telescope, demonstrate gravity and orbital motion, and share information on black hole ballooning. The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences will have Mars and Moon globes and meteorites on display.

The following affiliated partners of the McDonnell Center will also be presenting at the festival:

The festival schedule of events also includes a mobile planetarium show (registration required), several talks, and even guided night hikes. Come join the fun!

Sign language interpreters will be available at the noon and 6:00 pm lectures.
