Join the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences for a celebration of Arvidson's scholarly and educational contributions throughout his 48 years at WashU.

Raymond E. Arvidson, professor of Earth and planetary science​s and the James S. McDonnell Distinguished University Professor, is retiring this summer. We are pleased to invite alumni, colleagues, students, and friends to two events in his honor. Please save the dates for the following:

Wednesday, September 7, 2022: Public reception and talk
Talk will begin at 7 p.m. CDT and will be live-streamed for those who are unable to attend in person.

Thursday, September 8, 2022: Departmental colloquium, reception, and open house
Colloquium will, tentatively, begin at 4 p.m. CDT and will focus on Arvidson's many research contributions. The talk will be live-streamed for those who are unable to attend in person.
