Brown Bag Lunch with Kate Crombie - Planetary Science Management and the Planetary Data Ecosystem

Dr. Kate Crombie is the founder of Indigo Information Services LLC and she will present a talk about space mission data management and mission proposals.

Join us at noon on October 20 to hear Dr. Kate Crombie discuss her work and Indigo Information Services LLC.  Dr. Crombie founded Indigo in 2007 to provide data management and data archive services to NASA spacecraft mission teams. Over the last 15 years, Indigo Information Services, LLC has provided for missions to the Moon, Mars, Mercury, Europa, the Outer Planets, Asteroid Bennu, Asteroid Ryugu, and Asteroid Eros, as well as many mission proposals.  She is a 1997 PhD graduate of the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, Washington University in St. Louis.

Over the last decade planetary science data management practices and policies have changed a great deal.  This talk will outline these changes and give perspective on the current state of NASA data management policy.  The talk will end with a discussion of the future of data management policy and practice to serve the needs of the planetary science community.
